You have a diverse background, which gives you the ability to repair and work on all kinds of equipment.
Position Snapshot
Diesel Mechanics at US Ecology identify and repair issues with diesel engine trucks, heavy-duty machinery and off-road equipment.
Day in the Life
After having your favorite morning beverage, you can typically expect to:
Gear up in your PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)
Check in with the Lead Diesel Mechanic, Transportation Manager or Operations Manager
Get your game plan for the day
Prioritize work orders (and then re-prioritize when new trucks arrive!)
Perform routine preventative maintenance on diesel truck engines, roll offs and tankers
Manage supply inventory and place orders
What you need to apply
High School Diploma or GED
A technical certificate or equivalent combination of education or experience
At least 5 years of experience working on diesel engines
CDL Class B license required (CDL Class A would be a bonus!)
Knowledge of welding
Ability to work a flexible work schedule including overtime and weekends
Able to work well with minimal supervision
Ability to pass pre-employment background checks and drug screening

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
